Experience the Magic of Phang Nga Bay

Embark on an unforgettable journey from Krabi to the legendary Phang Nga Bay, a marine wonderland of 42 islands featuring vertical limestone cliffs, emerald waters, and hidden lagoons. Best known for 'The Man with the Golden Gun' filming location, this tour offers more than just movie nostalgia. You'll glide through mangrove forests, kayak into hidden sea caves at Koh Panak or Hong Island, and experience the unique culture of Koh Panyee, a floating Muslim village built entirely on stilts. Whether you choose a high-speed speedboat for more beach time or a traditional longtail boat for a cultural scenic route, this day trip is the quintessential Thailand island adventure.

Historical Context

Ko Ta Pu has been a protected part of Ao Phang Nga National Park since 1981. Koh Panyee was settled by Malay fishermen in the late 18th century.

Photography Tips

  • Wide angle lens is best for the tall cliffs
  • GoPro is essential for the canoeing part

Insider Tips

  • Sit at the front of the speedboat for the best view (bumpy ride!)
  • Sit at the back for a smoother ride
  • Bring a waterproof phone pouch
  • Buy souvenirs at Koh Panyee to support locals but bargain politely

Our Partners

  • In partnership with top local operators like Sea Eagle Tour and Krabi Kingdom

Fun Facts

Highlight of our Trip!

The speedboat tour was absolutely fantastic. We beat the crowds to James Bond Island and the kayaking at Hong Island was magical. Our guide 'Bond' was hilarious and very attentive. Worth every penny!

Great scenery, good food

Phang Nga Bay is stunning. The longtail boat ride was a bit loud but very authentic. The lunch at the floating village was delicious halal food. Be prepared for some crowds at the main island.

Excellent Day Out

We booked the early bird tour and it paid off. Had the famous rock almost to ourselves for photos. The sea canoeing was the best part - the guides paddle for you so you can just relax.

Wonderful Experience

Everything was well organized from hotel pickup to drop off. The limestone karsts are breathtaking. Make sure to bring cash for the National Park fees!

Beautiful but busy

The islands are spectacular. The tour operator handled the logistics well, though the pier was a bit chaotic in the morning. Once on the boat, it was smooth sailing. The canoe guys are funny and take great photos.
